A Rich Heritage Built on Trust
In the late 1800’s the United States Life Saving Service, now known as the US Coast Guard, built a station of solid granite perched overlooking Narragansett Bay. The architects, responsible for the resilient building are the famed McKim, Mead & White. Today it is home to the Coast Guard House Restaurant.
The Coast Guard House Restaurant established itself in the 1940s and has been revered for serving locally harvested seafood. The restaurant was transformed in 1979 to a year round dining destination. Over the past decade the restaurant has been recognized on a state and national level as a dining destination. Offering one- of – a kind view of Narragansett Bay in the Historic Pier district, which had attracted many family and friends for generations.
Today, the Coast Guard House Restaurant is experiencing a total rejuvenation, courtesy of Super Storm Sandy. We are offering fresh new tastes, a completely new lounge and dining room area & renewed commitment to bring you the best dining experience.
