The Coast
Guard House
About us
In the late 1800’s, the United States Life Saving Service, now known as the US Coast Guard, built a station of solid granite perched overlooking Narragansett Bay. The architects, responsible for the resilient building, are the famed McKim, Mead & White. Today it is home to the Coast Guard House Restaurant.
The Coast Guard House Restaurant established itself in the 1940s and is revered for serving locally harvested seafood. The restaurant was transformed in 1979 to a year round dining destination. Over the past decade we have been recognized on a state and national level as a premier dining destination. Offering a stunning & unrivalled view of The Pier Districts' historic Narragansett Bay, The Coast Guard House has attracted family and friends for generations. Today, the Coast Guard House Restaurant is experiencing a total rejuvenation, courtesy of Super Storm Sandy. We are offering fresh new tastes, a completely new lounge and dining room area & a renewed commitment to providing an unforgettable dining experience.
